I am excited by this! Two different ways to play a great game that has been lost to the ages. I am going give the free one a go this weekend to see it is worth it.
I can’t believe it is nearly next year. This has been long year of long work hours but I did manage to rack up almost 300 hrs in Grim Dawn since I started playing last dec in early access.
Another game also drew some life from my cold dead heart, overwatch. I was skeptical at the class based shooter from Blizzard as I got burned by the diablo hype, but their free weekend even got me suckered in. After racking up 430 hours in team fortress 2 it was an easy transition. The game balance is there if and their trinkets to unlock are visual skins only, no pay to win.
Still waiting for Crowfall , by the time it is ready , I Am going to need a REALLY big monitor at a low resolution to make out the characters.
If you are on steam, battle.net or PSN hit me up!
I am very excited to see that Grim Dawn is getting the final build and an official release date ! The latest build fixes a number of lingering issues, ramps up performance and resets a few skill trees see the notes: http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33049
If you have not purchased yet, please do so at this time!
CF has a different take on skills and attributes. I am very intrigued with the way they plan to handle your in game characters. http://crowfall.com/en/news/the-big-reveal-crows-and-vessels/ .
Having an inventory item that can represent your in game form is very nice twist . I just hope that they can pull this idea off.
Good news everyone! Grim Dawn is nearly done.
One last patch planned before the game leaves early access is February. I haven’t had a chance to get into the new content yet, but hopefully this holiday break will a lot me some play time!
Grim Dawn just released build 28 to the wild which added the last dungeon in Act 4 and the only piece remaining is the end boss battle. This game is well worth the price of entry and I am dividing my time between this and PoE .
Fallout 4 and Star Wars BattleFront were also released last week and I have been playing a butt load of BF . It captured the star wars feel … even though game play may not be varied enough for hardcore shooter fans, for a casual shooter player , it hit my fix just right.
Fallout 4 is a great entry in the series , but it is a typical Bethsoft faire with some launch day issues and some systems that seem kind of bland. Thankfully the mod kit is being released soon so I would just advice everyone to wait and let the mods develop to help enhance the game.
I gaze across the landscape of upcoming games and I am severely saddened by the outlook. The latest rash of games are just other editions of their predecessors with a bit more shine and a bigger release number. When I am reviewing my Steam queue, I find myself mostly just clicking on NOT INTERESTED.
I still log hours into Grim Dawn, Path of Exile, Card Hunter, and I have been dabbling with Shroud of Avatar a bit .
Grim Dawn just released build 28 and it included the new Shaman class . I really like where this game is headed and I am excited to see what they do with their multiplayer. POE is still the best ARPG out there right now. It is free as well.
Shroud of the Avatar is looking to be a good contender for the MMO audience. I try not to spend too much time with each build they release because it changes so much between releases right now and there are wipes after each release.
Fallout4 and Stars Wars battle front are coming up soon and I hope they are ok . I have been trying not to read articles or watch the teaser vids because I don’t want to be disappointed if it sucks, like that Sword Coast turd.
[Moc]Drakkyn on steam
time flew by so fast that I didn’t to post anything. Not a lot of games other than hitting up Grim Dawn more now that they rolled out their last class, the Shaman.
My favorite online CCG is now on Steam! Go now, buy it play it!
I am a bit late, but that’s life when 2 daughters are dragging me all over the place.
I took a little break from MMOs and online gaming in general since that ArcheAge fiasco. Now that I am no longer hot under the collar , I have been looking at some new properties out on the horizon. Crowfall (http://crowfall.com/#/) looks great and I backed it on kickstarter . I hope the team doesn’t disappoint, but they know they have niche market they are targeting so hopefully they can fill the void.
I have also been playing some Path of Exile and Grim Dawn. PoE (https://www.pathofexile.com/) is still the best FREE game I have ever played and the company did the cash shop the right way. Grinding Gear Games hit a home run with this. Grim Dawn (http://wwww.grimdawn.com) is still in Early Access phases, but it plays very well . The look and feel of their game world is robust and I am digging their take on the classes and skills I am currently running this http://grimcalc.com/build/ukxHJz and not dying every second. The death penalties are xp based and you have a chance to recover lost xp after dying. Very helpful in those long drawn out boss fights.
If you have time give Grim Dawn a look.
